Samsung Galaxy A53

Samsung is getting better at serving just about every price point and the A53, in particular, hits the bull's eye, arguably the best value for money right now.

Crystallized is the Galaxy A53, with its 6.5-inch AMOLED screen with 1080p resolution. Large but not yet huge, and nice and smooth at 120Hz. Thanks to the Samsung Exynos 1280 chip, it is nice and fast, with 4, 6, or even 8GB of RAM.

A big advantage of Samsung phones is that they are assured of five years of Android updates since last year. With many comparable devices, you can be happy with one new Android version, the A53 comes with Android 12 and can count on updates to Android 13, 14, 15, and 16, with security updates for a while. That is certainly a strong promise at this price point.

The cameras of the Galaxy A53 are fine: a 64-megapixel main camera, 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5-megapixel macro lens. As with many comparably priced phones, the main camera is the most important and the best, and thanks to the optical image stabilization, the A53 delivers. Even in the dark, the night mode is not always attractive and sometimes even compensates too much.

The Samsung Galaxy A53 has a 5000mAh battery and supports 25W fast charging for 50 percent in 30 minutes. You have to buy a separate charger for that, because the device, unfortunately, comes with a 15W charger.

The Samsung Galaxy A53 is available in blue, orange, white, and black. The introductory price of the Samsung Galaxy A53 is 449 euros. Check Belsimpel for the current price.
